Best Scrub Caps: Choosing the Best Scrub Hat for Your Hair
Scrub hats play an essential role in hygiene and sanitation in a medical setting. They prevent contamination from occurring by keeping your hair neatly tucked back and out of the way. You also don’t want your hair getting in the way of an important task!
Although their purpose is primarily functional, scrub hats don’t have to be boring. We offer a variety of bright prints and styles, but how do you know which style is the best fit for your hair?
- Pony scrub hats are for longer hair. The ribbon-tied pouch neatly covers hair held back in a low ponytail or bun. View our video to learn how to put it on.
- Pixie scrub hats are for shorter hair (see video). The slim-fitting cap is tied in a simple knot at the nape of the neck, with enough room to tuck in any stray hair. This is also similar to the style used for the men’s scrub hat.
- Poppy scrub hats are a bouffant style for women with more or thicker hair that won’t fit in a regular pony scrub hat (see video). This style also functions as a regular pony scrub hat, with the excess fabric doubling as a pouch.
- For cases where a disposable scrub hat is required, we offer disposable versions of both the pony and the pixie scrub hat.
We have dozens of fabrics to choose from, so you have a variety of colors and patterns to make it through the week. Many of our fabrics are only printed once, so be sure to get the one that really catches your eye because it might be one of a kind. You can wash the scrub hats in cold water and tumble dry them on low heat, but for best results line dry or hand wash.
