Why Proper Scrub Sizing Matters
Wearing the correct scrub size improves both comfort and performance throughout your shift. Scrubs that are too tight can restrict movement, while oversized scrubs may feel bulky and unprofessional.
The right fit helps:
• Improve mobility during long shifts
• Maintain a polished, professional appearance
• Enhance comfort throughout the day
• Reduce distractions while working
Frequently Asked Questions About Scrub Sizing
How should scrubs fit for nurses and healthcare professionals?
Scrubs should fit comfortably without being too tight or too loose. They should allow full range of motion while maintaining a clean, professional look. Modern scrubs often feature a more tailored fit while still providing flexibility.
Should I size up or down in scrubs?
If you prefer a more relaxed fit, consider sizing up. If you prefer a more tailored, modern look, choose your true size. Always refer to the sizing chart for the most accurate fit.
Do scrubs shrink after washing?
High-quality scrubs are designed to minimize shrinkage. Following proper care instructions—such as washing in cold water and drying on low heat—helps maintain the original fit.
How do I find my correct scrub size online?
Use a measuring tape to check your chest, waist, and hips, and compare those measurements to the sizing chart. This is the most reliable way to ensure the best fit when ordering online.
Are men’s and women’s scrubs sized differently?
Yes, men’s and women’s scrubs are designed with different fits and proportions. Women’s scrubs often feature more tailored cuts, while men’s scrubs provide a more relaxed fit.
What if I’m between sizes?
If you’re between sizes, consider how you prefer your scrubs to fit. For a looser feel, size up. For a more fitted look, size down if the fabric includes stretch.
Do different scrub styles fit differently?
Some variation can occur depending on fabric and design, but premium brands maintain consistent sizing across collections to ensure reliable fit.

Finding the right size:
Please use the following guidelines along with a fabric tape measure to be certain you’re ordering the right size. When taking your measurements, wear little or no clothing to ensure proper fit.
Measuring guide:
Waist :
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.
Hips :
Stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Chest :
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest or bust, including your shoulder blades, then drop your arms to your sides to measure.
Inseam :
To measure your inseam start from your inner thigh down to your ankle. Please note that our scrub pants have a relaxed fit so they will hang a little low (similar to pajamas). The inseam will not begin at the top of your inner thigh like a pair of jeans. Our best recommendation is to use our waist to foot measurement when trying to access the desired length you need.
Waist to Foot :
Measure from your natural waist line down to your ankle.
Rise :
The rise measurement is from your natural waist line to your inner thigh.
Ankle :
The ankle measurements on our sizing chart are from hem to hem, not circumference.
