How To Best Deal With Stains On Your Medical Scrubs

If you’re a returning Blue Sky customer, we’re happy to have you! If you’ve purchased scrubs from us in the past, we know you probably felt great the first time you put them on, and you promised yourself to keep your brand new high-quality scrubs as clean as you can. But when you’re working long shifts in the medical industry, accidents are bound to take place. When they do, you might stain your lovely new scrubs. But don’t worry! If you keep reading, you’ll know exactly how to remove or prevent those stains from staying in your scrubs, whether they’re Blue Sky scrubs or not.

Try Hydrogen Peroxide

Most medical facilities should have hydrogen peroxide easily accessible, and it works great for removing stains on scrubs before it becomes a more permanent stain, especially if it's blood. All you have to do is pour the peroxide on the stain, let it soak in for a while, and then rinse it off with some water. It works best if the water is cold. Once you do that, the stain should come right off!

Keep a Stain Stick Handy

Next up, we recommend keeping a stain stick somewhere nearby when you go to work. You can put one in your locker, or in your pocket so that it's right there in case of a spill. If you know you’re the clumsy type and you’re likely to spill something on your scrubs every once in a while, it's an especially good idea to keep a stain stick in your pocket.

Back-up Scrubs

Some messes might be too big to clean up your scrubs with hydrogen peroxide or a stain stick. Or maybe you just don’t have those things nearby for whatever reason. If either of these are the case, it would be very handy to have a pair of back-up scrubs in your locker at work. That way, in case you get a stain on your scrubs, you can just change into your back-up scrubs and give your other scrubs a full wash once you get home.

We hope this advice has been helpful when you’re dealing with messes and stains at work. You should also know that Blue Sky Scrubs are made to repel stains better than your average scrubs. To check them out for yourself, please visit the Blue Sky Co. website.
