3 Common Scrub Stains

3 Common Scrub Stains

Blood, sweat, and tears: that’s what goes into this job. And while you signed up for it, it doesn’t make it any easier. Through the ups and downs, the last thing you need to be worrying about are stained scrubs! So let’s talk the 3 most common stains that plague our medical scrubs, and what to do about them! And of course, check out Blue Sky Co.’s collection of modern, perfectly-fitting medical attire and accessories; you’re bound to fall in love.

Sweat Stains

Sweat stains can, unfortunately, be pretty embarrassing. But you can tackle these stains with 3 ingredients: 1 part hydrogen peroxide, 1 part baking soda, and 1 part water. Rub the solution into the armpits of your scrubs and allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes. Then launder as you normally would!

Blood Stains

With blood stains, hydrogen peroxide is once again your best friend! Pour hydrogen peroxide over the stained areas of your scrubs and allow it to bubble. Then rinse your clothing with cool water, and launder only if the stain has come out. If it remains, try the solution again!

Food Stains

It happens to everyone; we spill bits and pieces of our lunch onto our clothing! For this one, you’ll need ½ teaspoon of liquid dishwashing detergent. Soak your scrubs in a tub of water with this solution, and let it sit for 30 minutes. Finally, rinse it clean, and wash your scrubs as normal!

At Blue Sky Co., you’ll find medical attire that suits you best, and is easy to care for; our scrubs are wrinkle-free and stain resistant. And not to mention- they let you express your individual personality! Express yourself with our bright, beautiful scrub colors, or vibrant scrub cap patterns!
