3 ways to remove blood from your blue sky scrubs

It’s awful when our scrubs are stained during the work day, and there’s little time to treat the stain! You may be better off taking your scrubs home to wash them. Blood stains, at least, should be tackled as soon as possible. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of our three favorite ways to remove blood from your scrubs!

Bath Soap

This should come as a relief! In the bathroom alone, which you undoubtedly have access to while on the clock, there’s something that can help. Bath soap! Start by running cold water over the affected area to remove any hardened blood. Then rub bath soap into the stain, scrub, rinse, and repeat as necessary! Easy peasy, right?

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide works great for blood stains, but can sometimes cause discoloration in your scrubs. So first, perform a spot test in an inconspicuous area to make sure you’re in the clear. Once you are, pour hydrogen peroxide over the stained area and let it foam for several minutes. Then, after you’ve wiped the stain, launder your scrubs as your normally would!

Ammonia

For this one, you’ll need to mix a solution of one part ammonia and five parts water. Then soak the stained area in the solution until it disappears! However, if your scrubs are heavily stained, you may need to scrub the affected area. Then just toss your scrubs into the washing machine as you normally would!
