FIGS Joggers: Zamora, Tansen, Uman and 2 Alternatives

The FIGS jogger that fits you depends on your cut and how much you carry. The Zamora suits women who want a classic fit with six pockets. The Tansen suits men who want a slim fit with five pockets. The Uman suits women who carry the most, with 11 pockets. If you want a similar jogger for less, Blue Sky's Josephine and Peyton cover the same ground, and the Peyton is listed at $36.

FIGS sells several jogger styles, and the details you need are spread across separate product pages. Which jogger FIGS makes best for you comes down to fit, pocket count, fabric, and price. This article puts five jogger scrub pants side by side, three from FIGS and two alternatives, so you can decide without opening ten tabs.

We are Blue Sky Scrubs, an Austin, Texas scrub maker with over 20 years of experience. That is why our own joggers come last, and why we say plainly where FIGS does something well. FIGS specs below come from its product pages, so check the size chart before you order.

1. FIGS Zamora Jogger Scrub Pant

The Zamora is the women's FIGS jogger most shoppers mean when they search for one. It is a $52 pull-on with six pockets and a classic fit.

A folded jogger scrub pant with a drawcord hanging out, and a measuring tape resting beside it.

Fit, fabric and pockets

The Zamora has a classic fit that runs true to size, a yoga waistband with an adjustable drawcord, and ribbed ankle cuffs. It is made from FIONx fabric: 72% polyester, 21% rayon and 7% spandex. FIGS lists four-way stretch, moisture-wicking, and Silvadur antimicrobial treatment for odor control. Wash cold and inside out, then tumble dry low.

FIGS sells three lengths, and its height guide is a useful starting point:

  • Petite (26.5"): 5'3" and below
  • Regular (28.5"): 5'4" to 5'7"
  • Tall (30.5"): 5'8" and above

The six pockets are one side cargo pocket with a semi auto-lock zipper, one interior security pocket, two deep trouser pockets, and two back patch pockets. Select colors also come in high rise, mid rise with a ruched waistband, and maternity versions.

The Zamora is the safe pick: true to size, six pockets, and more than 40,000 reviews on its own product page.

Who it suits and price

Choose the Zamora if you want a jogger that fits like a standard pant with an athletic waistband, and you work in a place where joggers are accepted. They remain a best seller, so plenty of people still wear them, but check your facility's dress code first. FIGS lists free shipping on orders of $50 and up, plus free returns.

At $52, it costs more than budget scrub pants, which is why shoppers ask whether FIGS is expensive. Judge it by cost per shift. A pair worn 100 times costs $0.52 a shift. Also read the sizing comments in the reviews, since those come from FIGS's own site and skew toward satisfied buyers.

2. FIGS Tansen Jogger Scrub Pant

The Tansen is the men's equivalent of the Zamora: a $52 slim-fit jogger with five pockets. FIGS lists it among its best sellers.

Fit, fabric and pockets

The Tansen has a modern slim fit and uses the same FIONx fabric as the rest of the FIGS jogger range, with moisture-wicking, anti-wrinkle properties and four-way stretch. It has five pockets and plenty of storage for a pair of scissors, a phone and a pen light. It comes in more than 30 colors, including black, navy and white.

Slim cuts reward a careful read of the size chart. If you are between sizes or have larger thighs, check the hip and thigh measurements on the product page, and confirm the length options before you order.

Treat the Tansen as a slim cut: measure against the size chart instead of guessing your usual size.

Who it suits and price

This jogger suits men who want a fitted, athletic look and do not need seven or eight pockets. It also suits anyone who wants a wide color choice, since few scrub lines offer 30-plus shades in a men's jogger.

The price is $52, the same as the Zamora. If you plan to rotate three pairs through a work week, that is $156 before shipping, so decide whether you want one brand across the whole set. FIGS offers a men's jogger set that pairs the pants with a top, which is worth a look if you are buying a full uniform.

3. FIGS Uman Jogger Scrub Pant

The Uman is the pocket-heavy option in the women's range, with 11 pockets and an athletically inspired design. FIGS pitches it for 24/7 hustle.

Fit, fabric and pockets

Eleven pockets is the headline, and it is the most of the three FIGS styles here. The cut is sportier than the Zamora, so treat it as a different fit, not a Zamora with extra storage. FIGS's own product page is the place to confirm the fabric, the size chart, and the current price, because those details vary by style.

More pockets also means more seams and layers. Filled cargo pockets can add bulk at the hips, so put the Uman on and walk, squat and sit before you commit. Some shoppers assume FIGS is a lululemon label because of the athletic look. It is not. FIGS is its own company.

Pick the Uman for pocket count, then test whether you can live with the bulk when the pockets are full.

Who it suits and price

The Uman suits nurses, techs and EMTs who carry a lot: trauma shears, tape, a notepad, phone, badge reels and snacks. If you currently clip things to your waistband because your pants lack storage, this is the style to try.

If you rarely use more than four pockets, you will not gain much over the Zamora. Look up the price on the product page before you compare, since FIGS prices vary by style and the Zamora's $52 is not a safe assumption for this one.

4. Blue Sky Josephine Jogger 5 Pocket Scrub Pants

The Josephine is our women's jogger: a $52 five-pocket pant in a soft technical fabric. It comes in black and navy, in sizes XXS to XL.

Fit, fabric and pockets

The Josephine has an elastic waistband with a matching striped drawstring. The fabric is 97% polyester and 3% spandex, described as soft, stretchy and sweat-wicking, and it resists wrinkles and fading. Wash it on a gentle cycle in cold water and tumble dry low.

The pockets are two front, two back and one zippered cargo pocket. Spandex is lower than in FIONx, 3% against 7%, so try a pair if maximum stretch is your priority. The model on our page is 5'6" and wears an XXS.

The Josephine matches the Zamora's $52 price, so pick it for the fit and fabric, not for savings.

Who it suits and price

The Josephine suits women who want a five-pocket jogger in the two standard uniform colors, black and navy, and prefer a lighter, simpler pant. If you wear a scrub cap on the unit, our embroidered options can carry your name or initials.

Be realistic about the price. At $52 it sits level with the Zamora, so compare the fabric and fit instead of expecting a discount. If cost is your main concern, the next pick is cheaper.

5. Blue Sky Peyton Cargo 7-Pocket Scrub Pants

The Peyton is our budget-friendly alternative: a $36 7-pocket cargo scrub pant that becomes a jogger when you cinch the hem. It has seven pockets.

Fit, fabric and pockets

The Peyton has a modern fit and an elastic hem with a pull-string at the ankle. Leave it loose for a straight leg, or tie it for a jogger look. The fabric is our Medleisure blend, 94% polyester and 6% spandex, which is light, stretchy, sweat-wicking, and wrinkle and fade resistant.

It comes in 11 colors, including black, navy, ceil blue, eggplant, wine and surgical green. Sizes run XXS to XL in regular and tall lengths. The tall option matters because the FIGS joggers need a length decision too.

Of the two Blue Sky options, the Peyton is the better fit when you want more pockets and a lower price than a FIGS jogger.

Who it suits and price

This is for women who want seven pockets and a jogger option without paying $52. At $36, a pair costs $0.36 a shift over 100 shifts, against $0.52 for a $52 pair. Two pairs cost $72, compared with $104 for two FIGS joggers, a $32 difference.

The trade-off is that it is a convertible cargo, not a true ribbed-cuff jogger. Men who want a similar pocket count should look at our Niles Technical Cargo Scrub Pants, listed at $26 against a regular $52.

Choosing between these joggers

Pick the Zamora for a true-to-size women's fit and six pockets, and the Tansen for a slim men's fit. Pick the Uman when pocket count matters most. Choose the Josephine for a five-pocket jogger in black or navy, and the Peyton for seven pockets at $36 with the choice of a straight leg or a jogger hem.

Whichever pair you choose, check the size chart and your facility's dress code before ordering. When the pants are settled, finish the set with one of our women's scrub caps, which come in solids and prints.
