The Best Stain Removal Tips for Scrubs

Have you ever spilled your lunch on your scrubs, or accidentally caused a spill during your shift? We all know stains can be frustrating to remove, especially when they ruin our scrubs! That’s why we’ve included these tips on removing the three most common stains from your scrubs! Following these guidelines will keep your scrubs looking great!

Blood Stains

To remove blood stains it’s quite simple. Let’s start by rinsing the fabric in cool water. Then use soap, or even dishwashing liquid, to rub into the stain until it starts to lather. You can use any kind of soap, but traditional bar soap may be best. Lastly, just rinse and repeat until the entire stain has been removed!

Sweat Stains

Sweat stains are unsightly, but they’re no reason to throw out your scrubs! We can save them by following these steps: First, pretreat your scrubs by soaking them in cool or warm water. Then, mix warm water with your cleaning agent of choice until it creates a paste. Cover the entire stain with this paste, and scrub your scrubs with a toothbrush. Finally, after letting the paste sit for an hour, wash as usual on the hottest setting!

Food and Grease Stains

It’s all too easy to accumulate food and grease stains, with how quickly we have to eat- it’s inevitable that we’ll spill something! Grease stains are actually pretty easy to remove, though. Just use the blue Dawn dishwashing detergent! Rub it into the stain, and then wash your scrubs as you normally would. You’ll be amazed how easily the stains come out!
